Why sightreading?
This event is designed to be a sightreading party where the audience gets to choose what we play. They have a wide array of repertoire to choose from that includes classical, pop, rock, jazz, anime, film, etc.
One of the mission statements of Classical Remix is to break down the barrier between audience and musicians. As sightreading parties are a passtime of musicians and something that used to publicly happen often back in the day, we want to bring the audience members a glimpse into our world and are purposefully keeping it a non-rehearsed, sightreading party.
However, if you don’t feel comfortable sightreading, please feel free to simply come mingle and enjoy drinks. If you are able to help share why a summer chamber music festival would be good for Atlanta and convince them to give up a few dollars, that’s even better!
We are hoping to have music going throughout all three hours. Please feel free to enjoy alcohol and food throughout the event, and please share this link with anyone you think would enjoy this event as an audience member!
