Eun Young Jung, violin
Violinist Eun Young Jung joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in September of 2022. She has received her Bachelor of Music at Ewha Womans University in South Korea, then came to the states and received her master's degree and Artist Diploma at the Yale School of Music where she was a recipient of the Stephen and Denise Adams Scholarship. Her primary teachers include Charles Castleman, Hyo Kang, David Kim and Lisa-Beth Lambert.
Eun Young has worked closely with renowned musicians such as Vadim Repin and Gil Shaham in her time performing in the Sejong Soloists concert series and recording sessions. She has performed in numerous orchestras including the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Palm Beach Symphony and Miami City Ballet.
Eun Young also has a passion for mentoring and developing young minds. She has taught at the Frost Preparatory Program and coached chamber groups at the Frost School of Music at the North Carolina Chamber Music Institute and University of Miami. Eun Young has also worked with the Miami Youth for Chamber Music and the Greater Miami Youth Symphony.
When not playing the violin, Eun Young enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, Basil and Bori. She also likes cooking and baking for her friends.
